Professor Naik added, "We wanted to make something that not only serves a practical cleaning function but also fits right into the everyday activities of both public and private areas."
One of the early adopters of this technology is an NGO (Tech for Change) that manages several community centers across India. The NGO purchased the robots as part of a pilot program to improve and simplify their cleaning processes and found that the machines noticeably reduced staff workload. "These robots let our maintenance team focus on other, more important parts of facility management," says Mrs. Anjali Rao, the operations manager at one of the centers.
