With a total daily readership of 4.70 crore readers (Source: IRS2019Q2,TR), making it one of the most widely read broadsheet newspaper in India with a circulation base of 26.75 lakh copies (1.79 lakh copies of variant included) (Source: ABC January-June 2019) (RNI figures for Lucknow and Kanpur included). The geography of Amar Ujala covers North India including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab and Delhi NCR. The strength of Amar Ujala lies in consistent and superior editorial coverage, with a clear focus on variety on not only local issues of our 180 districts of operation, but also on issues of State, as well as National and International prerogatives. Amar Ujala publishes 18–24-page daily issue with colourful and vibrant pages in every edition. In addition to the mainline newspaper and the city centric pull outs, several niche supplements are published focusing on topics like jobs and career, entertainment, women and many more. Our popular weekly magazine 'Rupayan' is published every Friday. Amar Ujala, being a leading Hindi newspaper, launched an initiative called ‘Hindi Hain Hum’ to enhance the glory and pride of the Hindi language and re-energise its essence, highlighting the high cultural, literary, practical and everyday value that it holds in our lives and in our territory.

A high decibel campaign targeting all age cohorts for both B2B and B2C audiences, sitting at National and International level.

Shabd Samman

Shabd Samman is a platform curated by Amar Ujala Foundation to recognize the work in preserving the ethos of our literature in the form of awards. This initiative was launched in order to discharge inevitable responsibility of eulogizing and immortalizing life-enriching tradition of the written word and to highlight the best literary work coming up in various Indian languages.

Prominent personalities like Former President of India- Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Indian lyricist Shri Gulzaar, Indian actor Girish Karnad, has been a part of Shabd Samman.

Hum Raahi

The trade network, which we refer to as Humrahi (meaning “Our Companion”), is the backbone of the newspaper industry. The entire supply chain is highly dependent on this network for the delivery of the product to households.

During the pandemic, Amar Ujala took the initiative to celebrate these faceless heroes with our readers and give them due credit for their contribution. Calling it the “COVID Warrior Coverage,” we brought forth these local heroes, the agents and hawkers, and published their photos for their respective editions, along with their name and area with a message appreciating their duties toward readers during this period of uncertainty.

Maa Tujhe Pranam

To promote national integration, harmony, and solidarity on Independence Day, Amar Ujala launched North India’s most coveted event, Maa Tujhe Pranaam (“salute to the nation”), which occurs annually on August 15.
Maa Tujhe Pranaam has been the flagship event for Amar Ujala for more than 15 years. We realize the relations, generations, and emotions associated with our publication, and Maa Tujhe Pranaam celebrates the achievements and sacrifices of, and pays tribute to, the Bravehearts associated with the freedom movement. This event, which encourages equity among the citizens, is a month-long extravaganza celebrating love for our nation and the nation’s Independence Day.

Shubh Labh

Amar Ujala rose above the challenges to find opportunities in such unprecedented times. We launched an initiative called Shubh Labh Mahotsav to ride in on a festive wave. This initiative brought together local retailers on one common platform and attracted potential customers by offering value add-ons to both the seller and the buyer.
