रियलिटी के नाम पर Indian Idol में होता है ऐसा, ऑडिशन देने वाले ने बताया ग्लैमर की दुनिया का काला सच

साल 2012 में ऑडिशन दे चुके निशांत कौशिक नाम के एक शख्स ने एक के बाद एक ट्वीट कर शो के बारे में कई चौंकाने वाली बातें बताई हैं। निशांत ने लिखा कि 'माना जाता है कि यह शो टैलेंट को आगे बढ़ाने का काम करते हैं और सही प्लेटफॉर्म हैं लेकिन मेरा मानना है कि अपने सपनों को नष्ट करने का यह सबसे सही प्लेटफॉर्म है।'

निशांत ने बताया कि 'मई 2012 में मुंबई में ऑडिशन आयोजित कराए गए थे। जहां मैं केवल मस्ती के लिए पहुंचा था। यहां पहुंचकर देखा करीब 2 किलोमीटर तक लंबी लाइनें लगी थीं। मैंने नोटिस किया कुछ लोगों में बहुत जोश था। वो अपने सपनों को पूरा करने के लिए यहां तक पहुंचे थे। कुछ लोग ऐसे भी थे जो अपनी मां के साथ थे तो कुछ ऐसे थे जो अकेले ही यात्रा करके यहां तक पहुंचे थे।'

May. Mumbai. I rocked up at the venue more out of casual interest.  On joining a queue 2 km long I noticed enthusiasts who had arrived there as though their lives depended on them. Some with their mothers holding Prasad, other rebels who had braved odds and traveled alone.

निशांत ने आगे लिखा कि 'मैं भी सुबह 7 बजे से लाइन में लग गया लेकिन कई लोग ऐसे भी थे जो सुबह 5 बजे से ही लाइन में लगे थे। यही नहीं कुछ तो ऐसे थे जो रात भर लाइनों में ही लगे थे। तब तक किसी ने नहीं बताया था कि यहां पहले आओ पहले पाओ जैसा कुछ भी नहीं है। घंटों इंतजार करने के बावजूद दोपहर करीब एक बजे हमारे लिए दरवाजे खोले गए।'

I joined the queue at 7 AM. There were people who had arrived at 5 AM. Others who had camped overnight. False notion that early arrival = early audition.  No one from the crew to dispel such notions. Gate opens 1 PM.

'घंटों इंतजार करना था लेकिन ना तो वहां टॉयलेट की व्यवस्था थी और न ही खाने-पीने की। अगर आप लाइन छोड़कर जाते हैं तो आप अपनी जगह भी खो देंगे। तो क्या एक बजे के करीब हमारा इंतजार खत्म हो गया? नहीं, गलत! एक बजे तो हमें किसी झुंड की तरह स्कूल ग्राउंड के एक स्टेज की तरफ भेजा गया। थोड़ी देर में वहां पिछले साल का एक विनर श्रीराम आता है और स्पीकर पर बज रहे गानों पर केवल अपने होठों को हिलाता है।'

At 1 PM we were herded toward a stage on the school ground where the previous year's winner Shriram was lip syncing to Desi Boyz. A volunteer amongst us was sought to go and grab Shriram's feet mid-performance and shout "I wanna be Indian Idol!" Reward promised : early audition.
